The present invention relates to a plate-like telescopic cover intended particularly for machine tools and metal forming machines, and consisting of a system of in sequence positioned plates (4) in the form of frames, which are connected with four diagonally placed scissor mechanisms (1) in which joints are located roller bearings. Each scissor mechanism (1) is assembled from wide arms (2) connected by joints (3) to bending rigid mechanism in a direction orthogonal to coverage surface. In the joint (3) position passes one arm (2) trough the second arm (2) and central joints (3) axis pins are provided with adjusting screw threads for adjusting spacing of the individual plates (4).
