The structure has a tunnel (1) for bypassing meanders (2). The tunnel is dug at a level lower than a level of upstream water intake structure (8) and downstream water discharge structure (9) such that the water flows by simple gravity due to the altitude difference between the intake structure and discharge structure. Valves permit to decide the opening movement and usage of the tunnel.
