PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up an initial value for deriving weight vectors. SOLUTION: A signal processing portion 14 derives a receiving weight vector and a transmitting weight vector for terminal equipment 26. A storage portion 202 stores the receiving weight vector derived in the signal processing portion 14. An error detecting portion 206 detects whether error exists in a signal demodulated in a modem portion 16, as the characteristics of a transmission path for the terminal equipment 26. A selection portion 204 selects the initial value of the receiving weight vector and the transmitting weight vector derived, in the signal processing portion from among the receiving weight vectors stored in the storage portion 202.
