PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile display device for carrying out a display mode in response to a behavior of a user such that the display device automatically stops moving picture display during movement and automatically restarts the display after the movement is finished. SOLUTION: The mobile display device 1 is provided with: a tuner 13 for receiving a broadcast program; a hard disk unit 17 for storing programs; a display section 3 for displaying the program; and a system control section 10 or the like for carrying out various controls, wherein a vibration sensor 11 is connected to the system control section 10. When sensing a vibration whose magnitude is a prescribed value or over, the vibration sensor 11 transmits a sensing signal to the system control section 10, and when receiving the sensing signal, the system control section 10 discriminates that the mobile display device is in a moving state. When the system control section 10 discriminates the moving state during display of the received program, the system control section 10 stops the display and starts storage of the received program, and when the system control section 10 discriminates that the mobile display device is not in the moving state, the system control section 10 starts tracking reproduction.
