PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production equipment and a manufacturing process for a plane display device that improve the productivity by shortening a cycle time in each unit process. SOLUTION: The production equipment for the plane display device are characterized in that while a process is carried out by process carrying-out equipment for a panel conveyed from one of a plurality of stages, process preparatory operation is carried out for a new panel conveyed by another stage. The manufacturing process for the plane display device is characterized in that while a process is carried out by the process carrying-out equipment for the panel conveyed by one of the stages, preparing operation for a process is carried out for the new panel conveyed from another stage.
