PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter capable of reducing an effect of a reflected wave without being accompanied by a negative factor such as complication of control and expansion of a measuring time, and capable of enhancing measuring precision. SOLUTION: In this ultrasonic flowmeter 100, sensor attaching recesses 10a, 10b are formed in an upstream and a downstream in a flow pipe 10 through which gas flows, ultrasonic sensors 2a, 2b are arranged to contact directly with the gas in the sensor attaching recesses 10a, 10b, respectively. Ultrasonic wave attenuation bodies 7, 8 for attenuating an ultrasonic wave are arranged in a recessed place formed by the sensor attaching recesses 10a, 10b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
