PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain sensor capable of measuring the maximum value of a strain working to a structure in a required strain range. SOLUTION: This strain sensor 2 is equipped with insulating fibers 12 arranged with a fixed directivity, an organic phase 10 acquired by heat treatment of an organic polymer material and arranged at least along the insulating fibers, and a conductor phase 14 having the organic phase 10 at least on a part. Since having the organic phase 10 acquired by heat treatment of the organic polymer material, a conductivity change of a conductive conductor is shown from an extremely small strain domain, and a remaining phenomenon of the conductivity variation corresponding to the working maximum strain is expressed, and a high resistance remaining rate can be attained.
