PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust control device for a water jet propulsion boat capable of preventing reverse flow of cooling water to an engine side. SOLUTION: The water jet propulsion boat 10 provided with an exhaust pipe 21 merging an exhaust gas passage 21a and a cooling water passage 21b and discharging exhaust gas and cooling water to an outside is provided with an exhaust control valve 25, a driving motor 26 and ECU 27. The exhaust control valve 25 consists of a rotary shaft 25a horizontally arranged and a valve element 25b, and is arranged on an upstream side of a merge part 21c with the cooling water passage 21b in the exhaust gas passage 21a, and opens and closes by drive of the driving motor 26 controlled by the ECU 27. An engine rotation sensor 28 and a throttle opening sensor 29 are provided and the ECU 27 controls drive of the driving motor 26 according to detection values thereof. A catalyst 24 for treating exhaust gas is provided on an upstream side of the exhaust control valve 25 in the exhaust gas passage 21a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
