PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-fitting device realizing highly accurate press-fitting of a press-fitting component to a workpiece by executing precise control of thrust. SOLUTION: A servo amplifier 5 in the press-fitting device 1 has a position control loop 51, a thrust control loop 52, and a switching means 53 switching the control loops. The position control is executed by using the servo amplifier 5 and the position control loop 51, and then, a press-fitting part 32 is advanced. Next, when a thrust measurement value Fm exceeds a prescribed switching value Fa, it is switched from the position control loop 51 to the thrust control loop 52 by operating the switching means 53. Next, the thrust control is executed by using the thrust control loop 52, and then, the press-fitting component 82 is press-fitted to the workpiece 81. After that, when a position measurement value Pm becomes a position target value Pr, it is switched from the thrust control loop 52 to the position control loop 51, and then, the press-fitting part 32 is retreated.
