A multi-position riveting assembly has a frame that is presented and anchored over the target hole. The frame further has a rivet hammer on a swing-mount that traverses a three-dimensionally curved plane. The tool head (1) has an alignment adjustment and setting mechanism setting a defined angle alpha between the rivet hammer (2) longitudinal axis (4) and tool head centreline (3).
