A throttle body has a main body (3) and a valve body (60) having a shaft section (20) and a valve section (4). On a bore wall section (5) of the main body (3), there are provided a connection tube section (308) to which a piping member (230) is connected, a seal tube section (310) having a seal surface (16) corresponding to the valve section (4), and a connection tube section (312) to which a piping member (202) is connected. A deformation absorption tube section (309) is provided between the connection tube section (308) and the seal tube section (310). A deformation absorption tube section (311) is provided between the seal tube section (310) and the connection tube section (312). The thicknesses of the connection tube section (308), the seal tube section (310), and the connection tube section (312) are made thicker. The thicknesses of the deformation absorption tube section (309) and the deformation absorption tube section (311) are made thinner.
