<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic recording medium in which recording and reproducing with high S/N of reproduced signals can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: The holographic recording medium 10A has a reflecting layer 4, a selecting layer 2 and a holographic recording layer 1 successively layered on format signals 8 formed on the surface of a substrate 5, in which recording is performed by irradiating the holographic recording layer 1 with laser light from the upper side to induce interference between the transmitting light transmitting the holographic recording layer 1 and reflected light transmitting the holographic recording layer 1 and reflected on the selecting layer 2. The holographic recording layer 1 comprises a material having the sensitivity to laser light only in a 400 to 500 nm wavelength range; the selecting layer 2 comprises a material which reflects a component only at 400 to 500 nm wavelength in the laser light transmitting the holographic recording layer 1; and the reflecting layer 4 comprises a material which reflects a component at ≥650 nm wavelength to detect the format signals 8 in the laser light transmitting the holographic recording layer 1 and the selecting layer 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
