ON-ROOF APPARATUS MONITORING/MEASURING DEVICE FOR RAILROAD VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate an on-roof apparatus monitoring device and a pantograph contact strip thickness measuring device on a same support building structure without causing them to affect each other's function, to acquire an image with a boundary position clearly taken therein between a contact strip top surface and a contact strip side surface without being affected by disturbance light in the event of outdoor installation, and to perform image processing at a high speed with high accuracy.

SOLUTION: A pantograph inspection device is used for inspecting at least abrasion of a contact strip of a pantograph. The inspection device is equipped with a lighting means for illuminating the pantograph by a plurality of lighting systems different from each other in condition, an imaging means for acquiring image data including the contact strip by imaging the pantograph by a plurality of CMOS cameras different from each other in condition from the side surface direction thereof, and an image processing means for selecting data on an image in which the shape of the contact strip is most clearly imaged from among image data imaged by the imaging means to find an abrasion amount of the contact strip.
