PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound volume adjuster capable of automatically suppressing the occurrence of howling with a simple constitution, and also, capable of providing high sound quality. SOLUTION: A sound volume adjuster 20 adjusts the sound volume corresponding to the operation amount of a sound volume operator 44. A howling detector 50 detects the occurrence of howling by acoustic feedback. A howling suppression control unit 52 suppresses howling by sound volume control to a sound volume adjusting means when howling is detected.
