摘要 <p>A method and apparatus by which aminofunctional compounds including various amino acids and derivatives thereof contained in the living body and amino acid analogues are analyzed far more rapidly and easily with far higher sensitivity than in conventional methods. An aminofunctional compound is reacted with a derivative-forming reagent to yield an aminofunctional compound derivative represented by the following general formula (I), which is eluted by liquid chromatography in which a stepwise gradient elution means is employed. Subsequently, the aminofunctional compound eluted by the liquid chromatography is detected by mass spectrometry. In the formula, Ar1 represents an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group or a substituent comprising an aromatic carbocycle or heterocycle; R1 represents hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, or one or more carbon atoms forming a ring; and R2 represents optionally substituted alkyl; provided that Ar1 and R1 or R1 and R2 in combination may form a ring.</p>
