<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioabsorbable medical instrument capable of controlling an acid effect of decomposition. <P>SOLUTION: The medical instrument 50 placed at a site in a patient's body to control pH levels at the site in the patient's body has one or more structural components 80, 90 formed of a first biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable substance, or a coating 70 in an attached state formed of the first substance as a modification.
