<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process and a device for making a simple and reliable check of the space between coating sheets for welding. <P>SOLUTION: In a process and a device in which, on at least one side of a first sheet topographical changes are produced projecting from the surface and the first sheet is positioned and clamped relative to a second sheet, and the topographical changes projecting from the surface define a minimal space between the two sheets through which vaporization products can escape during welding, it is checked whether or not the two sheets are in contact with each other via the topographical changes projecting from the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
