<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutritional composition which extends post meal satiety. <P>SOLUTION: The nutritional composition in a dry powder form includes an extract of potatoes which provides a proteinase inhibitor source and is mixed with water and digested before a meal, extends satiety, and thereby reduces appetite. This nutritional composition includes about 10 to about 80 wt.% protein, about 10 to about 40 wt.% medium to long chain fatty acid, about 2 to about 5 wt.% calcium salt, and about 1 to about 5 wt.% proteinase inhibitor provided by the extract of potatoes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
