<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator for combustible gas, and a method for charging and sealing the inflator. <P>SOLUTION: This inflator includes an enclosure to receive combustible gas to be stored under pressure. The enclosure comprises an outer wall including an outer surface, an inner surface, and a charging hole penetrating it. The charging hole comprises a first hole part and a second hole part. The first hole part is close to the outer surface. The second hole part is close to the inner surface. The first hole part is larger than the second hole part. The inflator further includes a sealing member formed to seal the charging hole. The sealing member comprises a first part and a second part. The first part is formed to be tightly engaged with part of the second hole part. The second part is formed to be tightly engaged with part of the first hole part. The first part seals combustible gas in the enclosure.
