PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for improved light emission efficiency. SOLUTION: A front side glass substrate 1 and a back side glass substrate 5 face each other through a discharge space S. A plurality of sustain electrode pairs (X and Y) extending in row direction and paralleled in column direction and a dielectric layer 2 covering the column electrode pair are formed on the front side glass substrate 1. A plurality of address electrodes D for discharging with the sustain electrode Y are extended in column direction and paralleled in row direction, for each discharge cell C1 formed in the discharge space S. In a hair holder, a first barrier wall 11 of metal that partitions the discharge cell C1 is formed on the front side glass substrate 1 to partition the back side glass substrate 5 for the discharge cell C1, with a second barrier wall 12 of metal abutting with the first barrier wall 11 being formed.
