PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a storage control system where two or more of device connection parts connected to a plurality of storage devices are consecutively connected. SOLUTION: Each disk enclosure 117 is provided with an ENC by-pass 113A of a disk connection part 111A and PBCs 101A and 103A for selectively switching which of the disk connection part 111A and the ENC bypass 113A should be used to transfer data. When it is detected that any abnormality is generated in the disk connection part 111A, a CTL 5A connected to the disk connection part 111A requests a CTL 5B to bypass the disk connection part 111A, and the CTL 5B controls the PBCs 101A and 103A to switch the communication path of the data from the disk connection part 111A to the ENC bypass 113A.
