PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing device when earthquake occurs having a means for obtaining secure closing operation in occurrence of vibration of earthquake, realizing a compact form, and having a means for releasing forcedly even from an unexpected non-releasable condition and a new configuration. SOLUTION: A main body member arranging a locking projection, an elevating slope, a flat face, and an inclined bottom face and inserting a rolling body and an engaging member for mounting an engaging body having an engaging claw on a mounting basic member so as to turn freely by a fixed angle in the vertical direction are provided in a main body case. The main body member and the engaging member are mounted on an installation body and a moving body, respectively. When closing the moving body, operation for lifting the engaging claw along the elevating slope is provided, the rolling body is removed from a release position and rolls when vibration occurs, and the engaging claw is engaged with the locking projection by operation for letting the engaging body ride on the rolling body to prevent release operation of the moving body. The mounting basic member is divided into a mounting member, a supporting member, and a connection member and is automatically guided to a reference position to release forcedly.
