PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary fixing device for interior finish in building capable of neatly finishing the surface of interior finish members such as wall baseboard or ceiling trim. SOLUTION: This fixing device is for temporarily securing an interior finish member 1 such as a wall baseboard 1A, a ceiling trim 1B or a horizontal tie for columns, to a wall surface 2. A fixing portion 4 to be contacted to the surface of the interior finish member 1 is continued to a wall surface fixing portion 3 to be contacted and fixed to the wall surface 2. This fixing portion 4 having the elasticity is formed to a reversed U shape in its section, and both separated end portions 4A of the reversed U-shaped fixing portion 4 are contacted and secured to the surface of the interior finish member 1 by the elasticity. The wall surface fixing portion 3 has a guide hole 6 for inserting a connector 5 used for installing the fixing portion 3 on the wall surface 2, and the guide hole 6 is so made as to create the tip of the connector 5 inserted into the guide hole 6 sloped toward the fixing portion 4 so as to form a sloped hole 6.
