PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake of simple structure capable of preventing the generation of vibration noise by preventing vibration of a shoe hold spring when operating brake. SOLUTION: A brake shoe 3 provided with a web 7 in parallel with a back plate 2 is arranged in the inner surface of the back plate 2, and a web abutting part 22b of the shoe hold spring 22 formed by bending a metal plate spring into a U-shape is made to abut on a surface of the web 7 on a side opposite to the back plate. A shoe hold pin 23 is inserted into insert holes 2a, 7a, 22d and 22e provided in the back plate 2, the web 7 and the shoe hold spring 22, and a base end lock part 23c of the shoe hold pin 23 is locked with the outer surface of the back plate 2, and a tip lock part 23b thereof is locked with a folding part 22c of the shoe hold spring 22.
