PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inserting apparatus capable of surely pushing out a line of articles pinched and pressed into an opened exterior box, and its inserting method, and an automatic boxing apparatus using the inserting apparatus. SOLUTION: A placing member 15 on which the exterior box C on the tip of the peripheral wall B of which a flap F is extended and which is under an opened condition, is placed, article arranging members 13, 8a and 8b arranged so as to divide at least a part of a specified region, pinching and pressing means 8a, 8b, 8c and 8d facing, pinching and pressing and holding mutually both ends of the line Wa of the articles, a moving means relatively approaching and separating the pinching and pressing means and the placing member 15 to the placing position M and an inserting position N, and an inserting means 156 which comes into contact with the pinched and pressed line Wa of articles to push out the line Wa of the article between the first and second pinching and pressing tools 8a and 8b, and pushes out the line Wa of the article into the exterior box C placed on the placing member 15 at the inserting position N to advance and retreat an retreating pushing-out member 14, are equipped.
