PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncturing needle which is principally composed of a resin material and capable of reducing the pain upon piercing, and a puncturing tool using it. SOLUTION: A puncturing tool 2 includes a casing 21 and a puncturing needle 22 movably held within the casing 21. The puncturing needle 22, which is principally made of a resin material, is provided with a sharp needle tip 23 to pierce the surface of a living body. The needle tip 23 is shaped like a corn or a pyramid, with the radius of curvature being less than 0.05 mm, and the angle formed by the neighboring external sides being 10 to 25 degree in cross section.
