A novel low-density biochip (A) of at least partially transparent plastics (especially polycarbonate), having a planar array of immobilization regions (IR's) for biomolecules (BM's), is in the conventional format of an object carrier and has dimensions and an arrangement of IR's corresponding to the conventional measurements and arrangement of number of base surfaces of a microtiter plate with 384 wells. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a biochip holder, carrying at least one biochip (A); and (2) a test kit for determining the properties of a test solution, emulsion and/or suspension, containing at least one of the biochips (A).
