Calorie-reduced gumdrop (I) comprises gum arabic, gelatin, sugar substitutes, water and optionally usual auxiliary materials (acidifying agents, flavorants and colorants), where 0-50 (preferably 25-35) wt.% of polydextrose (A) and 5-25 (preferably 8-18) wt.% isomaltulose (B) (where wt.% is related to the total weight of (I)) are used as sugar substitutes. Calorie-reduced gumdrop (I) comprises gum arabic, gelatin, sugar substitutes, water and optionally usual auxiliary materials (acidifying agents, flavorants and colorants), where 0-50 (preferably 25-35) wt.% of polydextrose (A) and 5-25 (preferably 8-18) wt.% isomaltulose (B) (where wt.% is related to the total weight of (I)) are used as sugar substitutes, where the portion of (A) is larger than 0% and the ratio of (A) to (B) is 3.5:1 to 2.5:1.
