摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and easily irradiate pixels of respective colors of a liquid crystal panel and the like displaying an image constituted by arrangement of pixels of a plurality of colors e.g. RGB with light of corresponding colors. <P>SOLUTION: A red light emitting diode 51, a green light emitting diode 52, and a blue light emitting diode 53 emit red light, green light, and blue light, respectively. A red light guide 61 has a belt-like flat plane D having a width corresponding to a pixel and guides the red light emitted by the red light emitting diode 51 to the flat surface D to irradiate a red pixel with the red light. Green and blue light guides 62 and 63 are also constituted in the same manner. The red, green and blue light guides 61, 62, and 63 are periodically disposed and disposed so that flat surfaces D to F are arranged on a flat surface parallel to a display surface on which the image is displayed.
