PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification method and to prepare a water purification sheet which can be simply used at a low cost. SOLUTION: The water purification sheet has actions of at least one kind of metal selected from metals having large oxidation tendency such as susceptibility to reaction with oxygen and strong reduction power and has a filtration property base on such embodiments as to be made of at least one kind selected from aluminum, aluminum-deposited fiber and aluminum alloys and at least one kind selected from fibrous, thread-like, linear, stringy, cloth-like, nonwoven, continuous pore-type sponge-like bodies, planar body having innumerable pores and slit-like body. In the water cleaning method, water is cleaned by allowing the water cleaning sheet to contact with water. According to the water purification sheet and the water purification method, coagulation, flocculation and odor of sweat, dirt or microorganisms, and the like, due to human body as mixture in remaining hot water of bath water after bathing and water stored in pool can be reduced, and the purification and oxidation prevention of remaining hot water in bath water and water stored in pool are permitted.
