PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device stably holding an object to be supported in such a way as to be moveable or rotatable. SOLUTION: An objective lens 20 and an objective lens supporting magnetic material 21 and an actuator cover 23 that are provided integrally with the lens are moved to a position away by a prescribed distance from an objective lens supporting super conductor 12 cooled at the critical temperature or lower being the temperature showing superconductivity. Then, the actuator cover 23 is held against other members in a non-contact manner by the magnetic flux pinning (pinning) that occurs between the magnetic material 21 and the superconductor 12.
