PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic certificate storing system which makes it simple and easy to store a number of issued electronic certificates in a USB token as an external storing apparatus, supports an operation at an end user itself, and improves security. SOLUTION: A number of electronic certificates (PKCS#12 data) issued and encrypted from an authentication organization system 4 are once stored in a distribution server 5, a program to store the electronic certificates in a user PC 9 of each user to the USB token 10 is installed, and the USB token 10 is accessed to the distribution server 5 by an operation of the program in a state of being pushed into a USB connector of the user PC 9. When a serial number for the token is transmitted, the PKCS#12 data are downloaded from the distribution server 5 to an on memory of the user PC 9 or a specific directory of a hard disk 27, are decoded by a PIN information of a keyboard input, and are imported to the USB token 10.
