PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controllable measuring instrument in which visibility of inputted characters is improved and even when inputting a character string through remote control using a remote controller that does not include a picture display part, the character string can be inputted from a distant place. SOLUTION: In a remote controllable measuring instrument which is remotely controlled by a remote controller and displays characters or symbols inputted from the remote controller on a predetermined display area, a data creation section for input character display is provided for creating display data in which the characters or symbols are intensified and displayed on an area different from the predetermined display area, in a different mode.
