PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform an operation concerning reception diversity by preventing a reception diversity antenna from being interfered by the multiplying wave of a clock signal in the case of measuring a reception electric field strength. SOLUTION: The antenna between the antennas 1, 2 is arranged in the neighborhood of a display part 7 incorporating a display updating circuit which is driven by the clock signal so as to perform a display updating operation. A control part 5 controls a change-over part 3 so as to change-over the antennas 1, 2. When the reception electric field strength from a mobile radio communication base station is measured via the antenna 2, the control part 5 controls a display control part 6 so as to stop the supply of the clock signal to the display part 7 in order to prevent the generation of the multiplying wave of the clock signal in the neighborhood of the display part 7. Consequently, the display updating operation in the display part 7 is stopped in the stage of the operation to measure the reception electric field strength via the antenna 2.
