PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating roller capable of securing rigidity, shortening rise time by making a core bar thin, and improving workability and generality. SOLUTION: The heating roller 17 is used for a fixing device for fixing toner (s) on the surface of a recording medium 14 by heating unfixed toner (s) on the recording medium 14 and performing pressurized contact with the recording medium 14. The heating roller 17 is provided with a roller core bar 17a having a thin metallic cylinder 401 and a plurality of circling projection parts 26 symmetrically arranged at intervals in the axis direction and extended in the peripheral direction respectively are integrally formed to the roller core bar 17a in a paper passage area L set along the axis direction of the roller core bar 17a in the inner peripheral surface of the roller core bar 17a.
