PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection structure which facilitates assembling, which simplifies connecting operation without damaging the fixing part of an optical fiber in an optical component and optical module, and which enables space on a substrate to be effectively used, when optical fibers are connected to each other, and also to provide the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A second optical fiber 2 is fixed to an adaptor. Then, a first optical fiber 1 fixed to a first plug 3 is bent at the tip end, with the first plug 3 mounted on the adaptor. In that case, the first and the second optical fibers are pressurized into an arraying groove 10 and aligned by means of a pin-shaped introducing member 8 of the first plug 3.
