PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor body and a gas compressor provided with the compressor body preventing a distal end of a vane from falling down to a rear side in a rotation direction and capable of enhancing action efficiency of projection/retreating action of the vane. SOLUTION: The compressor body is provided with a rotor 5 stored in a cylinder; the vane 30 stored in a rotor slit groove 22 formed on the rotor 30 and projectably/retreatably installed from the rotor slit groove 22 in response to centrifugal force by rotation of the rotor 5 and a vane back pressure from a back pressure space 25 formed on a lower part of the rotor slit groove 22; a front side block having a suction port for leading a cooling medium gas into the cylinder and sealing a front end of the cylinder; and a rear side block having a discharge port for discharging the cooling medium gas compressed by a compression chamber formed by the cylinder, the rotor 5 and the vane 30 and sealing a rear end of the cylinder. A lower end of the vane 30 is subjected to chamfering working and an inclined flat surface 31 facing to a rotation direction of the rotor 5 is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
