PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method of an exhaust pipe in a vehicular muffler capable of improving working efficiency, preventing the thermal strain of a joint portion, enhancing appearance, decreasing the weight of the muffler, and saving cost, by enabling tight joining without welding. SOLUTION: A burring portion 30 is formed on a periphery of a through-hole 28 provided on an end plate 26 by deformation machining such as pressing while leaving remaining stress. While an end portion of an outlet pipe 24 is inserted in the through-hole 28, the burring portion 30 is heated at temperature not less than 800°C that can release the remaining stress and decreased in a diameter, thereby tightly joining the inner peripheral surface of the burring portion 30 with the outer peripheral surface of the outlet pipe 24.
