PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with a simple structure for cutting a storage tape which enables an operator to simply set the storage tape at a cutting position to cut the storage tape so that an electronic component does not come to naught. SOLUTION: The operator engages sending holes 4, 4 of the storage tape 1 with pins 14, 14 of a support 15. In this case, since a storage hollow part 3 of the storage tape 1 is projected, the sending holes 4, 4 are engaged with the pins 14, 14 so that a cover tape 5 is in contact on a tape supporting face 19 and the storage hollow part 3 becomes upper. This engagement is performed so that the storage tape 1 is supported on the tape supporting face 19 while the storage tape 1 projected on a reflector 16 is observed and a boundary between a position storing the electronic component and a position not storing is confirmed. In this supporting state, the storage tape 1 is cut by rotating an upper blade 12 and a lower blade 13 on a spindle 11 against the force of a coil spring 21 by operating an operation part S.
