DRAFT INDUCER HAVING A BACKWARD CURVED IMPELLER

A draft Inducer is disclosed. The draft Inducer includes an impeller (300) having one or more backward curved blades. The impeller is coupled to a moto r (440) which is preferably a DC motor. The DC motor (440) resides at the cent er of the impeller (300) and is housed within the impeller structure (310). The draft Inducer may be mounted on a hot water heater between the hot and cold water pipes such that the impeller spins about a vertical axis.
