FLOW CONTROL SYSTEM AND FLOW CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control system by which a request for transmission stop release can be effectively realized even to a line in which traffic is biased and the transmission speed is continuously changed.

SOLUTION: When a speed instruction signal 51 for designating the transmission stop of packet data from a transmission block 20 is transmitted from a reception block 10 for receiving the packet data transmitted from the transmission block 20, a request signal 52 requesting the transmission stop release is transmitted to the reception block 10 from the transmission block 20 after the elapse of a time predetermined corresponding to the transmission speed of the packet data in the current transmission block 20 from the time when the transmission stop is designated.
