<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an authenticating/charging method capable of facilitating the addition of new authentication and new charging method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a hardware source used for an image forming processing, an application for executing the image forming processing in accordance with a program, one or more authenticating/charging means for charging for the image forming processing, and also, used for the authentication of judging whether the user is authorized to use the image forming processing, and an authenticating/charging service means for presenting interface which copes with the kinds of the authenticating/charging means and which makes the application not care the kinds of the authenticating/charging means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
