PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) extract composition which can provide a saw palmetto extract in an easily utilizable noncaking solid state and in which only the undesirable physical properties of the saw palmetto extract can be masked without detriment to its useful properties such as flavor, tinting power, and physiological activity and to provide others.

SOLUTION: The saw palmetto extract composition comprises a saw palmetto extract and a prolamin protein. Desirable embodiments include one wherein the saw palmetto extract/prolamin protein mass ratio (saw palmetto extract:prolamin protein) is 10:5 to 10:30, and one wherein the prolamin protein is zein.
