<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of eliminating the troublesomeness in the user operation to change over the specification of the sheet feed stage at each job in order to acquire the products of the same quality and liberating the user from full time attendance to the device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device equipped with a plurality of sheet feed stages is structured so that when sheets are exhausted from one sheet feed stage, sheets are fed from another sheet feed stage put in the same grouping as the first named sheet feed stage, by selecting any sheet feed stage (S103) and subjecting the selected sheet feed stage to a grouping process (S104).
