<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of realizing noise reduction, using a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a speaker for emitting sounds; a speaker driving means for driving the speaker; a frequency-detecting means for detecting a switching frequency of a power source; a determining means for determining whether the switching frequency is a frequency in the audible range; an interrupt detecting means for detecting whether interrupt processing to generate sound from the speaker occurs; and a control means which stops the power supply to the speaker driving means, when the switching frequency becomes the frequency in the audible range on the basis of the determination results of the determining means, if the determination result of the interrupt detecting means is in a state where the interrupt processing does not occur, continues stopping of the power supply to the speaker driving means until the occurrence of the interrupt, on the basis of the detection results of the interrupt detecting means, and restores the power supply to the speaker driving means, when the interrupt has occured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
