<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact current detecting apparatus etc. capable of avoiding the effects of the hysteresis of a magnetic body, achieving compactness and thinness in size at low costs, and being constituted of a small number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: The current detecting apparatus 1 for detecting a current to be detected by a noncontact way is provided with both a current path constituting a single layer or a plurality of layers of a loop-like coil by sequentially folding, at a plurality of parts, a long and flexible rectangular conductor 11 coated with an insulating material and a magnetic detecting element 12 arranged in an internal space 11a inside the loop of the current path for detecting a magnetic field generated in the internal space by the current to be detected.
