PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape memory alloy member which has satisfactory reliability and repeated reproducibility while having bidirectional property and is applicable to various uses, to provide a shape memorizing method therefor, and to provide an actuator for controlling a flow rate. SOLUTION: The shape memory alloy member having bidirectional property has a low temperature memory shape on the low temperature side of a martensitic transformation finishing temperature or below and has a high temperature memory shape on the high temperature side of an austenitic transformation finishing temperature or above. Shape memorizing treatment for forming the high temperature memory shape is performed at the temperature side higher than the austenitic transformation finishing temperature, and shape memorizing treatment for forming the low temperature memory shape is performed by tensile strain working on the temperature side lower than the martensitic transformation starting temperature after the shape memorizing treatment for forming the high temperature memory shape.
