PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact screw mechanism with a reduction mechanism capable of realizing large speed reducing ratio and reducing the generation of looseness. SOLUTION: In the screw mechanism formed with screw in a rod (rack) 1 by cutting and a nut 2 engaged with this screw is rotated to straightly move the rod 1, a reduction mechanism is provided by providing the nut 2 with a gear 3, and engaging a turning gear 5, which prevents rotation thereof with an Oldham's mechanism, with the gear 3.
