PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial motor suppressing easily an axial force produced between a rotor and a stator by the action of magnetic field. SOLUTION: In the axial motor, a cavity 23 for controlling magnetic flux is provided inside each teeth portion 11b of a stator body 11. The purpose of the cavity 23 is to control a magnetic field generated at each teeth portion 11b by electric current flowing through a coil 13 and the magnetic field of a permanent magnet 27 of a rotor 3. The cavity 23 serves as a magnetic resistance, and the magnetic flux created at each teeth portion 11b is suppressed moderately. Thereby, an axial force is suppressed effectively, which attracts a rotor 3 to a stator 1 side by the action of the magnetic field between a stator 1 and a rotor 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
