PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of a simple circuit constitution having high measurement precision for automatically tracking communication signal waves. SOLUTION: The apparatus for automatically tracking communication signal waves is provided with an antenna 1 for outputting communication signals and error signals corresponding to an angle of deviation from the arrival direction of the communication signals; a tracking receiver 99 for converting the error signals into an angle error voltage and outputting it; an antenna drive circuit 13 for outputting control signals for orienting the antenna in the positional direction of the side to communicate with on the basis of the angle error voltage; and an antenna drive mechanism 12 for driving the antenna 1 on the basis of the control signals. The tracking receiver 99 comprises a switch 21 for selecting either the communication signals or the error signals; an automatic gain control circuit 9 for controlling gain in such a way that the communication signals and the error signals outputted via the switch 21 may output a constant voltage value at all times; an angle error voltage arithmetic circuit 22 for determining the error voltage of the communication signals to the antenna axis of the antenna on the basis of the output of the automatic gain control circuit 9; and a switch control circuit 23 for changing a switching time of the switch 21.
